The all-inclusive city-state: Singapore is the place where ancient traditions meet progress and innovation. This small island state, population 4.6 million, is located between Malaysia and Indonesia and is an ideal starting point for travelling around Asia.

A unique mixture of traditional culture and western living standards at comparatively low costs create an interesting study abroad destination. All courses at the universities are taught in English which makes for an easy transition into the Asian world.

The multitude of sports grounds, coffee shops, parks and shopping malls with culinary stalls open seven days a week from 9 am till 11 pm combined together with amazing beaches will guarantee you never get bored.

Visa

To study abroad in Singapore you must apply for a student pass. The proper application documents are to be submitted along with your acceptance of offer at your university and will be forwarded to the appropriate authority. Please allow a processing time of approximately six to eight weeks. Students staying longer than 6 month must also undergo a medical examination.

Health Insurance

Although it is not obligatory to have overseas health insurance, we do highly recommend it.

Work

International students are not allowed to work while studying in Singapore.

Transport System

This small, compact country has one of the world's best infrastructures. Busses, cabs and the MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) will take you both cheaply and quickly to your desired destination. Student will get their own student ticket, the Tertiary Student ez-link card, which can be used for all busses and trains. You can travel to the islands surrounding Singapore by ship. Traditional Rickshaws are still used in Chinatown and on small side streets, but can no longer be seen along the main roads.

Accomodation

You can choose between a rented room or a larger flat which is available on the private market or in a public accommodation complex. We recommend you look for accommodation before leaving home.

What are the VISA Application requirements ?

Like the application process, Singapore visa process is also very simple. For Singapore, the institute applies for the visa on behalf of the student. The student has to fill two visa forms :-

Bachelor/ Masters - S$ 30000 (Rs.10 Lakhs approx.)

Diplomas - Rs.5 -10 Lakhs. .

Can I work while am studying ?

Foreign students are not allowed to engage in any form of employment in Singapore, whether during term time or vacation time, unless they are studying at government universities

What are the possibilities for me to stay in Singapore after studies ?

In general, after course completion the students are allowed to stay in Singapore for 1 month on Social Visit Pass.
